BJP MLA Surendra Singh believed that rape in the country could be stopped if girls were instilled with "good values". Take a look at the highly influential reactions of bollywood actress Kriti Sanon and Swara Bhasker.
Bollywood celebrities continue to voice their disappointment and anger. While Kriti Sanon and Swar Bhaker have already responded to the Hathras rape case, the actors have now criticized the comments made by the BJP MLA Surendra Singh of the Bayria district of Balea Uttar Pradesh.
In a recent media interaction, the BJP MLA was talking about the rape and Hathras incident. Singh believed that rape in the country could stop if girls were instilled with "good values." He said, "Such incidents can be stopped with the help of good values, Na Shashan Si Na Talwar C. All parents should teach their daughters good values. Only the combination of government and good values can make a country beautiful."
In response to his anti-woman remarks, Kriti Sanon tweeted, “Teach girls how not to be raped? Do you hear yourself talking? This is the mindset that needs to change! It's so messy! Why can't they give a little sanskaar to his kids ???”
Swara Bhasker also called BJP MLA while sharing an old video. Swara wrote on Twitter, "Yeh ghatiya aadmi purana paapi hai (This disgusting man is an old sinner). #Rapedefender BJP MLA Surendra Singh".
