This place is nearby Chennai, Madurai, and Ooty famous for its beautiful waterfalls, Valleys, treks, forests, lakes, and green hills. Kodaikanal celebrates a pleasant climate throughout the year. In Winter (17°C - 34°C), Summer (21°C - 37°C), and in Monsoon (9°C - 16°C) so, every season is suitable to visit. Kodaikanal is famous for this lake. This is one of the most stunning places. It is a man-made creation of about 2285 meters. It was made by the collector of Madurai, Sir Vere Henry Levinge in 1863. Star-shaped surrounded by gorgeous Palani hills  It is nearby Coaker's walk. A unique flower named Neelakurinji bloom here.

This magnificent temple of God Murugu is associated with the rare flowers "Kurunji", they bloom once in 12 years. You can find this delightful temple on Kurunji Andavar Temple Road, Kodaikanal, Tamilnadu (624101). This temple is famous for its extraordinary views of the Palani hills & northern hills. 

# It is just 5 km from Kodaikanal bus station and is 3 km from Kodai Lake, so you can arrive at the lake first and then visit the temple. Also, Kodaikanal Railway Station is 2 km far from the temple. So, you can travel so convenient by local bus or take a cab. 

After being closed due to Coronavirus lockdown. Kodaikanal Hills is now open for tourists, but one will need a valid e-pass from the respective district administration to visit there.
