Sonu Sood Pledges To Sponsor Education For Underprivileged Students

The actor’s initiative is inspired by his mother, Professor Saroj Sood, who used to teach students who could not afford their education. Speaking about the initiative, Sonu said that he has always been a “big supporter” of the right to education. He mentioned that he feels it is the “most important gift” one can give to others.

The students who will get admitted will be able to access courses from streams like Agriculture, Airlines & Tourism, Design, and Innovation, Engineering and Technology, Healthcare Science, Hotel Management Computer Applications, Law, Management Studies, Para Medical Sciences, Engineering, Robotics, and Automation, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Fashion, Journalism, Data Science, Business Studies and many more.

 Taking to his social media, Sonu Sood announced the launch of this program which has been named after his mother. The actor wrote, “Hindustan Badhega Tabhi, Jab Padhenge Sabhi! My mother Prof.Saroj Sood always believed that everyone deserves an equal chance to a healthy happy future. So launching full scholarships for students on her name Prof.Saroj Sood scholarships today for higher education. Sonu Sood will also be assisting students’ hostel facilities to those who cannot afford the service and are finding accommodations. He provided an email for students in need to reach out to him and his team and provide the details. They can revert to him with detailed information.

Well, the ‘Simmba’ actor has now extended his helping hands to the underprivileged students as he launches a scholarship program to ensure that everyone gets the equal chance to a healthy happy future.

It is also heard that Sonu Sood has tied up with universities across India to offer scholarships under the name of his mother, Professor Saroj Sood, who reportedly used to teach free of cost in Moga, Punjab. “She had told me to take her work ahead, and I feel that this is the right time,” said Sood

About Scholarship

Students from families whose annual income is less than two lakh rupees can apply for this scholarship. Sood’s only condition is that their academic record should be good. “All their expenses, course fees, hostel accommodation, and food — everything will be taken care of by us,” he informed.

During the lockdown, the actor was in news for helping migrants reach their homes by arranging transport for them.
