How 23-year Old Man Earned 35 Lakhs In 10 Months, Started With A Smartphone Worth Rs 7,000?

Rajan, a middle-class man from the small town of Silchar in South Assam, is the founder of the Edtech ePostal Network, the first online coaching institute of its kind for postal workers in India...

The son of an ordinary Indian Army soldier, Rajan, had no resources to prepare for a medical examination, but he decided to set up a company to help others achieve their dreams.

Its launch, the ePostal Network, was launched in 2020. In July, without any investment, it reached 35 million in just 10 months.

He also independently earned 8 million rupees from the advertising revenue generated by his YouTube channel launched in 2017.

The ePostal network prepares Swiss Post Group C employees for the Limited Department Competitive Exams (LDCE), which qualify them for their next promotion in the department.

"In the first group, we had more than 300 people registered. When the results were announced, most of them were promoted to the next position," says Rajan, who has diligently prepared high-quality study materials to help his subscribers.

Daily lectures, mock tests, and retests helped more than 70 percent of employees who enrolled in the first group to pass the exams.

In 2017,  Rajan launched his YouTube channel from his Redmi 5 Pro smartphone worth just 7,000 rupees without a computer or laptop. He also launched the "epostal.in" website with his smartphone.

It begins with a 60-90-day training course for various postal exams. Initially, the study medium was Hindi, but English lessons also began in January.

The cost of the course for postage from MTS, the postman is 1,000 rupees and for a postal worker/classification assistant 1,500 rupees.

The course includes daily lectures from 45 minutes to one hour. Subscribers will receive a private link to the YouTube Tutorial.

To date, about 5,000 people have taken various courses and about 70 percent of them have passed the exams, says Rajan, who has been offering free online training since July 2020. At the time, he had more than one Lakh subscribers on his Youtube. channel.

The idea to set up a YouTube channel arose for the first time in preparation for the 2017 Personnel Selection Committee (SSC) revision.

"I have not received any information about the postal department on the Internet. "There was no training center or training class," says Rajan.

"Then I thought I should do something like that to help current employees and future jobs prepare for the post office exams."

Rajan comes from the middle class. His father retired as Naik and his mother is a housewife.

Dad wanted to join the army or get a government job. Science student Kendriya Vidyalaya Masimpur Ryan wanted to study for a doctorate but, without getting a chance, joined the B. Zoology College at G C College, Silchar.

"My father retired early, and his pension was used to educate his two children - me and my older sisters. It was difficult to understand. So I did not intend to attend any introductory medical training," he says.

He wrote the SSC exam in his second year of university and was elected to the post of the assistant postman with a salary of LTL 25,000.

"Although I was happy to get a government job, I did not start it because the place was in the town of Nalbari, 380km from Silchar. I also wanted to graduate," Rajan says.

During his studies, he began to focus on creating his own YouTube channel. Previously, its channel provided free information on a wide range of mail announcements, as well as for instructions or announcements on exams or careers.

As his followers grew, he set up a website to develop training programs for postal workers and postal candidates.

“I started developing a curriculum from text and video lectures. "Since I was also a civil servant, those notes were not difficult for me," he says.

He used the internet and other sources for the simple and understandable preparation of learning materials from Hinduism.

Rajan has always been self-taught and eager to learn. He asked YouTube for textbooks to create her own web and web channel.

He initially applied for Grameen Dhak Sevaks (GDS) to graduate from several jobs (MTS). He later started postmaster courses with a postal assistant.

He also started advertising his channel on social media, placing ads on Facebook and WhatsApp groups.
Rajan, who calls himself a "private entrepreneur," is now expanding. He appointed three teachers online to help.

To take it to the next level, Rajan creates a program that will run at the end of the year. The program will include information, training materials, and other mail order items.

"Once the program is launched, I see training courses for examinations in other departments begin," he adds.

To meet the applicants from South India, she also plans to take courses in various South Indian language courses and appoint retired postal workers from the respective regions as trainers.

The ePostal network recorded the highest monthly revenue of 5 million in March 2021.

Rajan lives with his parents and an older sister, Ruby Nath, who teaches in a private high school in Silchar.

“Byju, Unacademy, and Youtuber Khan Sir Patna have been a great inspiration to my entrepreneurial journey,” says Rajan, who focuses on major issues at Edtech.

"I have been following Byju's growth closely. I want the ePostal Network one day to be in the same league as all the leading companies on the field. "

Rajan began this successful journey by investing time, effort, and knowledge. To be a winner in life, you need everything, not just money.
