iDreamCareer- Learning Platform For Students To Learn Something Ahead Of Tech Careers Options

idream career is a Counseling Platform launched by iDX.education for students between 13-19 yrs of age. This platform is not only bringing up something new for learning but is even setting records, giving tough completion to other e-learning platforms in the market.

Since its launch in July, iDX.education has already achieved 100 paid users!

Ayush Bansal, cofounder of a career counseling platform iidreamcareer said- “Not more than 1% of schools in India offer a single subject on the legal study, psychology or design. With such limited exposure to the skills required in various career options, how can we expect students to choose their career path right out of high school?”.

He says in today’s generation apart from computer science or coding nothing is considered as a good carrier option. So, to break this myth she wants students to get exposed to different carrier options along with amazing knowledge.

iDX.education courses include money management, design thinking, and more exceptional subjects.

All these courses will help students think of choosing a non-tech job in the future that too with a high scope of growth.

He even said that after researching she saw that there’s no as such platform that focuses on the students in the age group of 13-19 years, to build or explore skills needed for non-tech careers. So she decided that she will work on it and make that happen!

After research it was observed that only 30% of school students actually go for science-based careers, remaining 70% still choose a non-science career path. Schools also focus on coding classes. Many edtech platforms like Vedantu Kids, Toppr's Code, and many more also contribute a lot in exposing students to the tech carrier.

However, 90% of students try to choose the tech part but due to the crowd competition, they end up choosing alternative. Engineering colleges these days also have high criteria that end up making carrier scope more competitive and difficult. Entrance exams are also becoming harder and due to less knowledge of carrier growth, a huge section of society had to struggle for job.

Keeping all these aspects in mind iDreamCareer has launched a micro-learning platform called iDX.education in July 2020, the platform hosts around five non-tech career-focused courses conducted by professionals. They have also launched innovative courses like the young economist's program, a young entrepreneur program, and have mentors who will guide and educate students on the same.

“Our thought was that the best thing to do while choosing a career, is to get exposed to the required skills in a career field and then make a decision whether a particular skill is of one’s interest or not,” said Bansal.

These days there are no many carrier options lets give you an example to make it more clear. Youtubing is still considered as not a good carrier as people claim that it’s not a static way to earn. However, a person who is doing this job of video editing and content making actually knows the effort and hard work need of analytical work that needs to be done behind producing and running a YouTube channel or filming a glamorous video that seems so effortless to viewers. People or students think it’s not a good carrier choice as they are not aware of these behind the scene aspects and technicalities. Also, where this blogging and filming can take them!

To resolve all these aspects the idea of creating a microlearning platform, came up.

iDreamCareer does not claim to make students experts, Bansal said the idea is to help them make an informed career choice.

How does IDX.education work:

iDX.education generally have designed courses for 8 hours-15 hours, rather than month-long programs. Currently, the courses are only being offered through live sessions conducted by a professional trainer. Courses are conducted in batches. One batch has a total of 15-40 students. It is expected that they will soon come up with one more new batch.
