Messaging Platform WhatsApp To Enable Users To Find Businesses Nearby

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly planning to roll out a new feature that enables users to search for businesses nearby. According to a report by WABteinfo, WhatsApp is developing a functionality that will allow users to easily filter and find nearby businesses using the new interface. This feature will prove to be helpful for users to search for hotels, groceries, apparel, and clothing.

The feature has been rolled out to some people in So Paulo and will be available for both iOS and Android users. When you search for something within WhatsApp, there will be a new section called Business Nearby, said Wabetinfo. When you select a category, the results for business accounts will be filtered based on your preferences.

WhatsApp has already revamped the page for Business Info after the release of WhatsApp beta for the iOS 2.21.170.12 update. Meanwhile, the company has recently come up with a new privacy update to prevent unknown contacts from viewing a user's last seen and online status.

This feature will allow WhatsApp users to see their last seen status by all, their contacts, except the blacklist of specific people. This new feature has reportedly been rolled out for both Android and iOS-enabled devices.
