Nepotism Is In Bollywood, Hollywood & Indian Armed Forces ?

The entire nation is still in a state of demise after Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide news came in.  After his loss, the question of nepotism and favoritism in Bollywood has ignited which is being suspected as the cause of his suicidal step. Has the nepotism (the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs) gone far in Bollywood that actors have no option to survive? It was many decades ago when no ‘Kapoors', ‘Khans', or ‘Bhatts' used to rule Bollywood, the fact that performance and stardom used to walk hand-in-hand is no more completely valid these days. Sneak into some of the questions that will answer the deep dark thoughts about nepotism in every industry. 

Can nepotism and favoritism be taken as a form of corruption?
Ironically yes, especially in a democratic country. If one starts supporting and highlighting own friends & family, many talented & deserving groups get affected by this decision taken. BY neglecting the talented groups, one may not only be supporting the undeserving candidate but, would also be ungrateful to the industry for which they are working for. So, ironically nepotism is also one of the forms of corruption. 

Do we see nepotism in Hollywood?
Big YES! Hollywood has Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, whose acting gets surprisingly bad movie after movie says many Hollywood fans. Also, they add a name Kristen Stewart, daughter of producer John Stewart, who consistently has been carrying the same expression on her face right from the start of her career. On the contrary, we say Hollywood has Robert Downey Jr, son of Robert Downey Sr, who has the highest fan base in the world. Hollywood is also blessed with Colin Hanks, son of Tom Hanks.

Does nepotism occur in every field?
Some say that examples of nepotism are only fruitful in the Bollywood industry and fail in any other field. However, research shows that nepotism exists in India even at the level of the Indian Armed Forces. While both the statements are pole apart, its hard to decide unless we see a few examples. Nepotism is quite rampant in Indian business families and the first name that comes in our mind is Ambani's. Here the word nepotism feels correct as business owned families will be calling their children as heir. Another great example can be from the Indian cricket team. Gavaskar, Srikkanth, and Tendulkar’s children are all in cricket.  Arjun Tendulkar might indeed be good [we don’t know it] but Rohan Gavaskar and Anirudha Srikkanth were not good for the leagues they were pushed into.  

If Bollywood is not about nepotism and favoritism, then why a major number of actors do not reach one level up, where the world starts noticing them. Today, we do not even have a good number of Bollywood stars with international recognition? The reason is as clear and bitter as ice – For years and years, we get to see the same sparkling yet hollow faces who do not even know the number of opportunities they have snatched, just because they belong to a good old Bollywood clan. 

We conclude that nepotism can only give start to someone's career but do not guarantee to run anybody's career. But, acceptance of someone's success or failure is important at the individual level if we do not wish talent to take up their own's life like that of Sushant Singh Rajpoot.
