British band Coldplay, currently on their Music of the Spheres world tour, has captivated Indian audiences with heartfelt performances and candid moments. During a recent concert, frontman Chris Martin took a moment to thank Indians for their generosity and forgiveness toward Britain’s colonial history.
In a video circulating on social media, Chris said, “Thank you for forgiving us for all the bad things that Britain does. This is our fourth visit to India, and the second time we’re playing a long show. We couldn’t have asked for a better audience. Thank you for coming today, everybody!”
He continued, “It’s amazing to us that you welcome us even though we’re from Great Britain. Thank you for forgiving us for all of the bad things that Great Britain has done.”
