They say, ‘Two souls with but a single thought, Two hearts that beat as on’.  What a beautifully quoted notion of the author. But can we hold our hearts & confess that how many of us exactly go by this site?? We are in a modern age with a strong notion in support of gender equality & diminishing gender bias. Many of us are found campaigning for the NGOs or raise our voices towards the equal status of the working women in the household. Rather we strongly support the journey from House Wife to Home Maker. But is this enough only to reform society?? Does this showcase serve it all to change the incumbent rotten viewpoint of society?? No, it doesn’t. Even today working women are less privileged or at least seen as less in an Indian household. But in the current scenario, a similar picture certainly has taken a complete U-turn.

COVID – 19 outbreaks compelled to merge two separate lives of a person into one.  Workplace & personal space are merged into a single dwelling stretch. Many of the working men actually get to live the lives of their better halves as homemakers. The outbreak limited access to the housemaids which given rising to the necessity to distribute the household chores between the spouses. Such is the turn of the table that took place that according to a survey, it is evident that most of the families have achieved better bonding since the working halves can feel the stretch of effort given by the homemakers to properly shape a household. The office goers are at home now & are sharing their part of household chores to make everyday life easier. 89 percent of those are reported to grow a good relationship with their better halves. Here comes the popular metaphor that a couple that cooks together lives together. The pandemic trauma made that more evident & rational. The locked-up situation has helped the working spouses to have a close look at the everyday life of their homemaker partners & understand the effortless concept behind the same.

The complaining wives are seemed to have their bygone days back with a complete boom. They are getting their sleep on time & no cutting version of rest for them. Many are very happy to find their transformed husbands & are enjoying an absolutely remodeled lifestyle. The Instances are many, but the consequences are all similar to one another. The man & wife finally merged together in their household life when it’s the two-sided effort to become a homemaker.
