PM Modi's Tweeter Account Got ‘hacked’!

After the tweet was shared it was found that its not at all creating any negative impact on the public as the didn't realte to any cybersecurity alarm however it was on the on the current worring state of the nation's facinacial state and the focused on the current coronavirus conditions.

After investigation it was suspected that the hackers were claiming to be 'John Wick' and demanded donations against PM's National Relief Fund.

As one clicks on the image, the text inside reads, ”Now that we have your attention, we just want to let you know that India’s unemployment has hit 45 years high, GDP growth rate is lowest in 40 years and COVID-19 cases have hit 83000 in a day which is highest in the planet.”

However, the account was restored within an hour and the validless fake tweets were deleted.

Just to let you all know, Modi functions through two more verified Twitter handles @PMOIndia (38.4 mn followers) and @narendramodi (61.8 mn followers).

“We’re aware of this activity and have taken steps to secure the compromised account. We are actively investigating the situation,” a Twitter spokesperson said. He even sataed that its not possible to predict that whether other accounts are being compromised or not. He said- “At this time, we are not aware of additional accounts being impacted".

Upon this tweet, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal-led party brought to notice the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) that contracted by 23.9% in April-June as the Covid-19 lockdown weighed on the already declining consumer demand and investment. He further pointed out that the current unemployment rate in the country is  45-year high and the GDP has dropped to a 40-year-low.

Further resaerch validated that the hackers claimed that they are based in Korea and had hacked the PM's website account to “clear their name” from an earlier data breach incident. The hackers upon being contacted did not specify North or South Korea. Although upon asking that how they carried out the entire process they remained unanswered and said that they "exploited a bug in the PM’s website” to gain access to his website's verified Twitter handle. It's now hard to say what's truth.

Several opposition parties, including the Congress, have criticized the Modi government for the dropping GDP. Rahul Gandhi has even launched a four-part video series attacking the government for the “economic tragedy" highlighting country's daily Covid-19 cases which is crossing crossing beyond imagination.

Lastly, Internal investigation by the social media platform has revealed that the pattern of attack was different from the July hack. As this time it was only realted to PM's account unlike other time which saw accounts of Uber, Apple, Bill Gates, Barack Obama and several others, being compromised from Twitter's end.

So there's so clue of this account being compromised for what reason. For further info on this stay tuned.
