Amazon Launches Prime Video Channels In India, Eight OTT Channels Will Be Available On A Single Platform

Amazon has announced the launch of the Prime Video channel in India. Prime Video channels will allow Prime members to access exclusive content from eight subscription-based OTT apps. With a Prime Video add-on subscription, you will be able to watch content from streaming apps like Discovery Plus, Lionsgate Play, Docube, Eros Now, MUBI, Hoichoi, Manorama Max, and Shorts TV. There will be a single billing mechanism for all the apps brought together on a single platform.

Gaurav Gandhi, Country Manager, Amazon Prime Video said, “We have always focused on improving access, experience, and selection for our customers. Over the past four years, it has endeavored to entertain users by programming in 10 languages, providing exclusive and original content from India and around the world, and ensuring a world-class streaming experience on screen. Gandhi said, "Prime Video has become the most preferred premium streaming service with over 99% pin-code viewership in India."

Amazon launches Prime Video mobile edition in India

Gaurav Gandhi said Prime members will have the option to watch global and local content including thousands of shows, movies, reality TV, documentaries, and more from eight video-streaming services including Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, DoCube. Customers have to pay only for the service they choose. Prime members can enjoy a special introductory annual subscription offer provided by OTT channel partners.
