Microsoft Introduces New Image Editing Tools For ONEDRIVE Users
Microsoft has introduced new photo editing features for OneDrive users. You can now crop, rotate, and adjust lighting and colors in your photos on OneDrive. The company also introduced new ways to organize and view photos on OneDrive for Android.
“Today is just the start of a series of new enhancements OneDrive will introduce to Photos next year. Relentless innovation has made OneDrive world-class file storage, sharing, and collaboration app. "We are now extending that same commitment to a refreshing photo experience that enhances the joy of your photos," Microsoft said in a blog post.
People who use OneDrive can now crop to the standard picture sizes for their social media apps using our built-in presets, or you can crop your photo exactly as you want it. Huh. The company has also added a rotation feature that lets you rotate an image 90 degrees left and right, or flip an image 180 degrees.
The cloud storage app now also offers adjustment tools for brightness, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, and color saturation. Once you've edited a photo on OneDrive, you have the option to save the changes as a new photo or overwrite the original picture. Microsoft says, "If you accidentally overwrite your original, you can use the version history to restore it," which sounds like a cool feature.
The new photo editing features will be introduced on OneDrive for the web and OneDrive for Android. The company has confirmed that it will also be available for iOS users later this year. Editing is currently rolling out for personal OneDrive accounts and the new features will also be released this summer for OneDrive for work and school accounts.
