Ashram Chapter 2: The Dark Side Showing The Mysterious And Demonic Side of Bobby Deol As Baba Nirala

Ashram Chapter 2 released yesterday. And this is a very early comeback: At the end of the first season of the Ashram in August, we went through a series of inferiority events. Two months later we are in season two and picking up where we left off. Now that the curtains are up, Baba Nirala should no longer pretend that he is a good person. Until he is in his court, where a crowd of daily visitors gather to seek his blessing, he is busy doing so. He does the best he can: chase young women and do politics with the leader after who comes to ask for his help.

In this new season, Ashram quickly starts crying on Vice's bed. In one corner, "prasad-ke-ladoos" are quickly made, mixed with narcotics: drugs are just as attractive as politics. Police officers Ujjala (Darshan Singh) and Sadhu (Vikram Kochhar) enter into drug addiction ashram in disguise. Our young and combative Pammi (Aditi Pohankar) works hard to become a wrestling champion and competes in the arena. His brother Shakti (Tusshar Pandey) was fired and his wife Babita (Tridha Chaudhary) was bribed, both on Baba's orders. It is only when Baba turns his ugly gaze on Pammi. Is this the reality of the holy man whom she worships?

Charming Doctor Natasha (Anupriya Goenka) is still floating, forcing a bond between two cops and equally fearless cameraman Akki (Rajiv Siddharth) as they discover Baba. Now that the novelty of the season has come to an end the only way to get into it is to introduce new elements and characters. Not much has been done on this important aspect, so Ashram 2 looks more or less the same.

Also, Jha did not mention caste and class unnecessarily in season two. The reason for Pammi's blind devotion to Baba is that he is seen as the savior of the exploited, people like her. There was a strong catch: When it comes to not seeing the true face of "holy men", what scares the common people? Will there be a revolution after Pammi finds out about Baba's "disgusting side"? It can capture social realism and give us a visual boost.

When we get into season three, Bobby Deol might consider getting a slightly lower rating. Still dressed in sleek and elegant clothes, this time he shared his stage with rock star Tinka Singh (Adhyan Suman) in a desire to build the "youth" devotees. Like last time, he is clearly having a good time - a bit more variety will help his serious outing. Like his criminal partner Sanyal, who occasionally displays brutality, he is much more effective.

The good news is that the web series is reviving actors like Deol Jr. - I hope Deol stops smiling the next time we see him.
