From Drug Addict To Successful Film Maker-Kangana Ranaut

A girl who belongs from the small town Bhambla of Himachal Pradesh and in the present scenario she is one of the top paid actresses and filmmakers in Bollywood. Though she is on the headline because of controversial issues, she proved to be bold and truthful.

BACKGROUND-

Kangana Ranaut was born and brought up in a conservative Rajput family where girls were supposed to be in a certain way, different from boys. Being the rebellious child, she used to rebel against the gender stereotype. She completed her schooling in DAV, Chandigarh. In school, Kangana was studious and pursued science so that she can go for medical on her parent's demand. But she failed in the chemistry exam and refused to appear for the All India Pre-Medical Test. From childhood, she used to experiment with her clothes and was quite sure fashion and acting was the thing for her. She wasn't given much importance in her family as other men of her house. That's when she wanted to become significant as men.

STRUGGLE DAYS WEREN'T EASY-

Kangana left her house and moved to Delhi when she found her passion in fashion. But she reached there confused and unsure about life and career. And later those years she became a drug addict which made her life difficult. Then she met one of her good friends and after that, she started doing yoga and became a whole new person(spiritual). After that, she joined an Elite Model Agency. This modeling agency was impressed by her looks and talent and she did many modeling assignments. At this point, Kangana wasn't satisfied with her work since she wanted to do something different. Then she joined the Asmita Theatre group and performed for various drama. During one of her performances, where she played both the roles of male and female. Then she realized the scope of her creativity is acting. Then Kangana moved to Mumbai and joined in a short drama course called Asha Chandra's Drama school.

UPHOLDING THE PATH OF ACTING CAREER-

In 2004, Kangana got her first film Gangster and after that, she appeared in many movies like Knock out, Tezz, Vaada Raha,shakalaka boom boom,dhaam Dhoom, Woh lamhe, no problem, and other movies. Though after doing Queen, Manikarnika, fashion, panga, and more of her hit movies made her reach another height of her career. But on this journey, she had to face financial problems because she refused to take help from her father and there was the time when she had to eat bread and pickle only. Since she left her home, Kangana couldn't get the support of her parents and family. But after many years, she reconciled with her parents. She even reached the point where directors refused to give her movies and media's denial for the interviews during the promotion. In the world of Bollywood, Kangana learned to take criticism positively because being a normal girl from a small town to become the filmmaker wasn't easy for her. She was even threatened and forced into scandalous activities. But today, she fought the world and became the best version of herself.

ACHIEVEMENT -



The list of achievements by Kangana Ranaut is as big as her struggle. In 2020, she was awarded Padma Shri which is the fourth highest civilian award. She even got National Film Award and Filmfare Awards for the movies Queen, Fashion and Tanu wed manu returns.
