Uber Said, Let Office Workers Work From Anywhere For Half The Time

One of the most flexible policies of any major U.S. Anytime the tech company has to offer as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, Uber plans to require people who work in offices to spend at least 50 percent of their time there.

But unlike many other companies, the policy does not mean at least three days a week in the office, the source said. Instead, workers can attend five days one week and zero the next.

The plan reversed from April when Uber said that starting in September, "employees will be able to work from home two days a week, but with the clear expectation that they will also come to the office three days a week".

When working remotely, employees can be anywhere, including at home, with family, or even more lucrative destinations. The source said they are encouraged to work outside their regular home for four weeks a year.

The company is also expected to say Tuesday that it will allow more employees to work remotely at all times.

Online news agency Insider first reported the details of the plan on Monday.
